Paper #2 draft teachers and roles
the two teachers that I would choose for this paper would be my 12th grade english teacher and my 12th grade CWI teacher. My english teacher played the role of good guy and best friend. She would get to know me and each individual in our class. She taught us like a teacher but she talked to us like a friend. She was a positive role model, she wasnt the type of teacher that would get frustrated or angry if someone acted out, she was calm and solved the problem in a nice manner. She helped me to relax and to not get so stressed out if something wasnt working for me. Unlike my CWI teacher, he had a negative feeling towards the class and me. His expectations were high, which I dont mind but it sometimes seemed extreme, he didnt take the time to get to know us as a student and a person, which helps me learn personally when someone takes the time to get to know you. He had little patience with the class and would often raise his voice if he was displeased. Which can be very frustrating for a student, he was a hard headed teacher, but in the way he was he had made me a stronger student. I goofed off less and tried more in class, I had become a better student because of these two teachers and each helped me in a different way.

O.k., good contrasting teachers, although both of them had a positive effect in the long run. Remember that for your thesis statement you need to identify a role that these teachers played in your life. How can you take what you've written here and define it as a role that they both played? I think there are several great ways to do this, and I'm curious as to how you'll work it through! :-)
